The Wonderful Wizard of Oz

A reimagined book cover for The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. I wanted to create a fresh look for middle grade readers, as if the story was written today.

 

The flying monkeys play a larger part in the book than in the movie, where whoever wears the golden cap can make three demands of the monkeys. The witch originally has this cap, and Dorothy picks it up later and asks the monkeys to help her on her journey.
